What are the check-in and check-out
times?
Check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 10:00 AM. Please note that these times are firm. Other guests will be arriving after your stay, and in order
to properly clean and prepare the house for them, we ask that you adhere to the times set forth above so that all parties can enjoy The Okemo House.
Are animals allowed in this
home?
Our home is 100% animal-free. Our son has severe allergies to animal dander that cause extreme
rashes on his entire body. For his safety, we NEVER allow animals at this property.
Is there a minimum age requirement to book this
home?
Yes, the primary renter must be at least 28 YEARS OLD to rent this home and stay with the
group throughout the entire rental period.
What is provided in this rental
home?
We provide bed linens, shower towels and a starter pack of household items (dish soap, dishwasher
pods, hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper). We also provide a 2-in-1 shampoo + body wash in the bathrooms. Guests should plan to bring their own ski gear, kitchen cooking essentials
such as spices, laundry detergent, toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, etc.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made in writing via post; mail or email by the RENTER only. If the
cancellation is made more than 60 days prior to the ARRIVAL date, then the deposit and any rental payments are returned, less a $150 processing fee (to cover credit card transaction costs). If
the cancellation is made less than 60 days prior to the ARRIVAL date, the RENTER will be responsible for the total cost of the rental (except the security deposit and cleaning charges) unless the
OWNER is able to find another RENTER at the same rental rate, in which case the security deposit and half of the rental cost is returned. Online Travel Agency (OTA) service fee refunds are at the
discretion of the OTA, not the OWNER.
OWNER does NOT refund for any reason, including but not limited to, weather, transportation issues, health reasons, pandemics, acts of God, or emergencies. As a private Host/OWNER, we offer unique dates in a unique property, and highly recommend purchasing “cancel for any reason” travel insurance that covers travel related reservation and expense risks, including medical (including COVID) cancellations, lodging damages, and other cancellations and relocations.
WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE RENTER TO PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE FOR UNFORESEEN CANCELLATIONS.
Do you recommend trip
insurance?
We do recommend trip insurance. Information about trip insurance can be viewed here.
How does the refundable damage deposit work?
Two (2) days before your arrival, we will put a $500 temporary "hold" (not a charge) on the credit card provided. The hold is released from the card
five (5) days after your departure, so long as there is no damage to the home.
Does your home have
wifi?
Yes, wifi is available in this home. Our wifi has a download speed of 100
mbps.
Am I allowed to have guests or host a party or
event?
No parties or events are allowed at this property, and no more than 12 people are permitted on the
property at any time.
Is there a washer/dryer
available?
Yes, laundry may be done using the washer and dryer in our home.
What parking is available?
We provide free parking at our home during your rental times. In the winter, we ask you to limit this to 3 vehicles to allow the snow plow drivers space to clear snow. Other times of the year we can fit 5-6 cars. We cannot allow vehicles to be left in the driveway past your check out time, as we need the driveway space for our service providers to complete the turnover of the home. There is no street parking.
Is smoking
allowed?
No smoking is allowed! Our property is smoke-free, including the home and decks. This includes
cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cannabis, and vaping.
When should I purchase my lift tickets?
We recommend that if you are not an Epic Season Pass holder, please go to the link below to buy your tickets ASAP. Okemo limits day ticket sales during peak times to help reduce crowding on the mountain. Please note our home is not associated with Okemo operations. Your reservation will NOT be refunded if lift tickets sell out. Answers to questions about lift tickets can be found via the link below. There are no capacity restrictions for Epic/Epic Local/Northeast Value Pass holders, only for day ticket purchases. Click here to go to the Okemo website to purchase day passes.
When are the enforced quiet hours?
Quiet hours are between 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Is firewood provided?
Firewood is provided for the wood stove and the outdoor fire pit. Guests should plan to bring their own kindling and
matches.
How do we access the ski lifts from the house?
No need to worry about the Okemo parking lots filling up, we have direct ski access from both our mountain side homes.
CLOCKTOWER CHALET SKI ACCESS:
Our Clocktower Chalet is approximately a 400 yard walk downhill to the Okemo Clocktower base lodge (about a 5-minute walk). For those who prefer not to walk, we are also located on the West Hill Shuttle Route - you can be picked up and dropped off right in front of the house (on weekends & holiday weeks)!
TRAILSIDE CHALET SKI ACCESS:
Our Trailside Chalet is located 100 yards downhill from Okemo's Sunshine Quad chairlift at South Face Village. It is an uphill walk to the lift, but downhill on the way home. Some of our guests do ski right back to our home, but we suggest you walk your skis across the roads. To give you a better visual idea of location, please visit our listing photos to view the map (with a red X on the house) as well as a picture from the Sunshine Chairlift with a red arrow pointing at our house through the trees. Please note there is no lodge, drop-offs nor parking at the Sunshine Chairlift. The nearest drop off point is the Clocktower Base Lodge.
